At Carolina Closets Plus, we get that a closet is much more than a small, enclosed space. Our goal is to make your custom closet be the favorite place in your home. We want you to smile every time you enter your own personal boutique where you can shop for what you want wear each day, just like you would in your favorite store.
Mike grew up in Chapel Hill and graduated from UNC in 1981. He and Terri raised their three kids in Chapel Hill. Lindsey Hoffer, their oldest, is the production manager and manufacturers all the pieces that go into every job that we do. Mike believes in the family, small business concept. Carolina Closets Plus is the perfect niche company that has stood the test of time for over 40 years. This couldn’t have been possible without their strong faith in Jesus Christ.
In 2025, Mike decided to slow down a little bit. Carolina Closets Plus is now a partner with other independent closet companies in the Southeast under the Artisan Family of Brands. As the transition from owner to founder, Mike still serves every day in an administrative role to maintain the brand and quality that we have built since 1985.
