Beam Central Vacuum Low Suction Solution
Wake Forest, NC April 12,2011 - Carolina Closets Plus repairs a common problem with central vacuum systems that are improperly installed. Mike Hoffer, president of Beam Vacuum Systems of NC, a division of Carolina Closets Plus, says “We are often called out to a house with low suction pressure. That’s a killer for a central vacuum system. When people call with a central vac problem, it’s a true emergency because once you get used to your Beam central vac, you can’t live without it.” This problem was caused by the initial installer using duct tape to seal a joint where the pipe was cut too short to enter the tee fitting. Over time this joint came loose and finally shifted to create an opening in the joint, which caused the low pressure. This particular problem took over 8 years to surface. If you have low suction pressure, Hoffer says to turn your main central vacuum unit on and listen at each valve inside the house. If you can hear noise, you have an air leak, which can limit your suction power. Carolina Closets Plus and Beam Vac of NC has the largest Beam experience center in the Triangle.

Chapel Hill, NC March 30,2011 - Carolina Closets Plus expansion into the regional market has proven to be a great success. Mike Hoffer, founder and president, says “Recently, we completed a large DIY project with a builder from Princeton, near Goldsboro. It was a perfect project for this builder and helped him close the deal to sell the house. Our DIY closet division concentrates mainly on the triangle area of Raleigh, Cary, Chapel Hill, Wake Forest and the surrounding areas but have recently shipped jobs as far away as Pennsylvania. It’s a great concept and growing every day. Our approach is much different because we offer much more detailed instructions and videos. We become a partner in the project instead of just offering an online purchase.
